Garden City Mi. Mayor Randy Walker Say’s It’s Only Fair That You Should Pay For Water You Do Not Use.

Here we have classic government thinking. Is it any wonder we are crumbling under the weight of our own stupidity as a nation??? A reblog from Longshot’s blog – which you should visit for no other reason than for the killer music she posts…

Longshot's Blog

At the public meeting that took place on Oct. 21, 2013 at G.C. City Hall on The Special Lighting Assessment for the third year in a row, I among many brought up this new Water Rate Model.

You can read it here in the G.C. Sept. 22, 2013 Observer:

Excerpts:

Council recently adopted a water rate model that will reduce costs for high water users while increasing it across the board for lower water users.

“With a recently approved new water rate model, Walker said that the city has decreased the cost for more than half of the high water users. The lower water users, especially seniors who are on fixed incomes and tend to watch their water usage to save money, will see an increase of less than $12″.

If the newspaper link disappears you can read it here as I copied…

Same philosophy as ObamaCare…raise rates on the young and healthy so that you can lower it for the old and sick. That is where the country is going…

    Bill

  2. I’m not young Bill, I am 56 and subject matter I wrote on has no correlation to Obama or health care bill. I deleted your comment because I don’t allow diversions. In reality the young on health care can get policies as low as $50.00 a month, not so for my age group. Better do your research.

BTW when Reagan was in office he tried his damn-est to get a National Health Care bill in place then, his own party rebuked it.

The subject matter was Water Rate Model in a city by a nutso Mayor.
